Bank Aval has started payment of registered money transfers in eurocurrency from Russia

Bank Aval has started paying out registered money transfers in euros from Russia, is reported by the Bank’s Press Center with reference to the Retail Banking Department of JSPPB Aval.

According to information of the Department, registered prompt transfers in euro of individuals from Russia are carried out within the framework of the agreement, concluded with JSB GasPromBank (RF) with the use of an up-to-date system of prompt money transfers Aval-Express on the territory of Ukraine.

Paying out of registered transfers in euro is made on a client’s wish in US dollars or euros in any branch of Aval Bank on the day of its remitting from Russia.

It is expected that a demand of individuals for transfers from Russia will be provided by a holiday season, as well as by a close kinship and production relations between the countries, particularly, due to a considerable number of the Ukrainians, being on seasonal work in Russia.

Until now, money transfers from Russia have been made only in US dollars and Russian rubles.

According to information of the Department, a turnover of money transfers from Russia through JSB GasPromBank via the Aval-Express system for 2004 amounted to about USD 10 mn, a number of transfers — 21 thousand.

The total turnover of money transfers via the system Aval-Express in 2004 made up around Hr 600 mn (an equivalent of transfers in all currencies), including that over Ukraine — Hr 500 million. The total number of transactions through the system for 2004 exceeded 800 thousand.
